Apply for a Georgia Driver's License
Georgians who are 18 and older may apply for a non-commercial driver’s license.
Renew a Driver's License
You must renew your driver’s license every 8 years.

Change an Address on an Existing Georgia License
For in-state moves, you have 60 days to change the address on your existing Georgia license.

Dds Driver Test Georgia
- Visit a DDS Customer Service Center.
- Provide the DDS agent with your application, documentation, and new address.
- Pay any associated fees, if necessary.
- Be prepared for DDS to take your photo.
- You will be asked to surrender your current Georgia driver’s license. You’ll receive a temporary paper license until your new, permanent license arrives in the mail within 2 to 3 weeks.
- Go to DDS Online Services Portal.
- Log in to your existing DDS account, or create one.
- Fill out the address change application.
- Pay any associated fees, if necessary. (If you are renewing in the Online Services Portal, you’ll receive a $5 discount from stated fees.)
- You will receive your new license in the mail within 2 to 3 weeks.
- Download the DDS 2 GO app to your device via the Apple App Store or Google Play.
- Create an account or log in with an existing account.
- Select the Services option.
- From the Services menu, select Address Change.
- Select the address you would like to change and follow the app’s prompts.
- Pay any associated fees, if necessary.
- You will receive your new license in the mail within 2 to 3 weeks.
